Section 3: Guidance for Clubs
Following the announcement on 9th July by the Scottish Government, that Phase 3 was to commence from 10th July, additional cricket activity can be undertaken at clubs for the purpose of undertaking exercise and training.
From 10th August, local club fixtures will be permitted.
Cricket Scotlands has published various guidance documents as we move through the different phases of the Scottish Government route map.
There are 9 key requirements for clubs to take part in cricket Activity:

1. You can take part in outdoor activity alone or with members of your household and/or members of FOUR other households per day, providing that physical distancing of at least two metres is maintained between the different households at all times (no more than 15 people in total). Clubs may also play intra-club games and local club fixtures.

2. Social distancing of at least two metres must be maintained at all times (unless all participants are members of the same household).

3. Coaches should not deliver training to more than 4 households (or extended households) at any one time unless coaching children or young people (see Cricket Scotland Return to Cricket Phase 3 guidance).

4. Nets should be used on an ‘every other’ basis, leaving one net free between nets. A similar approach should be taken to distancing groups on the outfield.

5. Clubhouses can be reopened for toilet access but changing rooms are to remain closed for general use. The use of outdoor facilities for hospitality purposes is permitted and indoor bar facilities can open in line with Scottish Government guidelines.

6. Only local members should attend the club other than for local club fixtures.

7. We recommend using your own equipment if possible.

8. No saliva or sweat should come into contact with the ball at any time.

9. Wash hands at home before and after using the outdoor facilities. Bring your own hand sanitiser where possible.
