Section 4: Guidance for Coaches

Sportscotland published a Phase 3 guide for coaches on 9th July. This is a general guide for all sports and can be found below.

Cricket Specific Coaching

Adults

Due to current social distancing guidance, coaches should not deliver training to more than 4 households (or extended households) at any one time.

​

Children and Young People

Coaches may teach a group up to ten U12’s from different households for a period of up to 3 hours in any one session. There is no requirement for them to socially distance.

The same applies for 12 to 17-year-olds however they must comply with the general social distancing guidelines before and after activity.

Summer camps are permissible however please note:

  • Groups of up to 10 must form a bubble and not come into contact with other groups

  • If there is more than one group at the camp, ensure that lunch or breaks are held at staggered times

  • There should be no sharing of equipment

  • Parents or guardians should not stay unless essential. They are required to socially distance at all times
