As per the Return to Cricket Guidance published by Cricket Scotland prior to Phase 2 of the Scottish Government route map, clubs should ensure a COVID Monitor is present at the club during club acivity.

The role of the COVID Monitor is to:

  • Log members contact details in the event of a requirement to track and trace

  • Ensure club members are abiding by Scottish Government guidance.

  • Carry out a daily/per session check that the facilities are safe to use.

Q. How should my club ensure we are maintaining the safety of members?

A. COVID-19 could be with us well into next season. Our advice is for a permanent COVID Manager to be appointed to the club committee to oversee all COVID related issues going forward.

Q. What do I do if a member contacts the club to say they have tested positive for COVID-19?

A. Having been tested positive, the NHS will implement contact tracing procedures and will likely contact the club / yourself for information on all the potential members that may have come into contact with the individual. This is why it is important to keep attendance records for each day.
